Description
In 1950 Panagiotis Vantanas produces an excellent Tentoura recipe for his friends and demanding customers who wanted something special. The main aromas are cinnamon, and cloves, followed by other spices, herbs, and citrus fruit, in an ethyl alcohol spirit of agricultural origin, in which he adds his own secret touches. He enriches the distillate with aged Mavrodaphne from Patras and leaves it to mature in oak barrels and stainless-steel containers, to acquire complexity and character. Vantana Tentura 1950 Especial, after homogenized and stabilized, it’s filtered and bottled in fine quality glass bottles sealed with the characteristic red cork. Complex aromas and impressive taste, with a long finish. It’s best enjoyed neat and chilled, or on crushed ice. It’s enjoyable after the meal as it also has digestive properties. It can be mixed in a variety of cocktails, or in fruit juices, is an ideal company for orange slices, and gives a special flavour to coffee. It can be paired with nuts, dried fruit, Turkish delight (lokum), bitter chocolate, loukoumades (Greek honey puffs), etc.
