Description
Deep purple in colour with violet sheens. The nose is dominated by an intense bouquet of fruity aromas (notes of small fruit like cherry and blackberry), combined with vegetal aromas (basil, thyme) and notes of vanilla and coffee, as result of the long-month maturation in oak barrels. Rich and balanced on the palate, oily, with bold structure that promises longevity. Attractive and lingering aftertaste that highlights the flavour palette of the wine. Best served at 17-18 °C with hard smoked cheeses, meat cooked in spicy sauce, and game. Great aging potential. Decanting before drinking is recommended.
