Description
The versatile aegean Assyrtiko was planted for the first time in Drama by Costas Lazaridis and since then it became an integral part of the regions wine identity. Bright, pale blond with discreet green hues. Elegant bouquet with notes of chamomile, lemon tree blossom and flint. Full, well-structured, and persistent, it manages to be both rich and lively. Long finish with hints of lemon.
A wine for difficult “missions”, it can be paired with pan-fried fish, tomato fritters, cheese croquets, fava (yellow split peas), rabbit wine stew, and omelettes.
