Description
An exciting blend of two excellent varities, Assyrtiko and Semillon (Bordeaux variety), grown in the warmest but most barren spot in the estate’s vineyard located on the slopes of Mount Pangeon. The Semillon’s fragrant expression and aging ability are complemented by the strength, structure, and exceptional freshness of the Assyrtiko. The wine is fermented in French oak barrels and left in contact with the lees for a few months to acquire structure and complexity. This dry white wine has a bright yellow colour with light green hues. Its fine nose is expressive with aromas of apricot and honey on elegant layers of tropical fruit and citrus, all amplified by scents of nuts and vanilla. With a rich and complex texture, it balances perfectly with the rich fruit, honey and nut aromas and the refreshing acidity. It can be aged for another 8 years to develop a unique oilness and a wonderful blend of aromas. Served at 12 °C. Paired with large fish on the grill, risotto, duck or turkey with stuffing, and cheese soufflé.
