Description
Produced from the Greek variety of Agiorgitiko, Areti Red is the first wine of the variety that is cultivated outside Nemea region. Cold maceration at 6 oC for a few days is followed by conventional red winemaking and 12 months of aging in French oak barrels. Deep ruby colour with violet hues. Dense aromas of wild cherry, cherry jam, and mulberry, combined with hints of chocolate, vanilla, and spices, giving an excellent varietal example of Agiorgitiko. Round in the mouth, with round tannins and delightful cherry flavour. Fruity and long aftertaste.
Served at 16-18 °C.
