Description
Red ruby in colour with violet sheens. Concentrated aromas of small fruit (redcurrant, raspberry) combined with sweet aromas (dried plum, marmalade) and notes of nuts, with the characteristic minerality of the variety in the background. Rich mouthfeel, slightly oily, with refreshing acidity and vivid yet elegant tannins that give the perspective of longevity. Persisting fruity and spicy liquorice aftertaste.
Best served at 16-18 °C with yellow cheeses, meat cooked in spicy sauce, and game. Great aging potential. Decanting before drinking is recommended.
