Description
Produced from the Cabernet Sauvignon variety, and particularly from the Estate’s first vineyard that was planted at the foot of Pangeon Mountain. This wine takes its unique character from the long maceration of the grapes and its extended aging in new French oak barrels for 16 months., followed by maturation for at least 24 months in the bottle. It has a deep red-black colour, with excellent aromas of blackberry jam, red fruit, and violet, blended with cidar, tobacco, and milk chocolate notes in skillful harmony. Full flavour, rich and impressive structure, and a well-made balance between acidity and generous tannins. Long aftertaste. It reaches its maximum elegance after a few years. Aging potential for at least 15 years. Served at 16-18 °C.
Paired with medium-grilled rib eye, rare- or medium-grilled meat, spit-roasted lamb or goat, truffle dishes, well-fed game, chestnut, and mushroom pâté.
