Description
Produced from the Merlot variety. It owes its rich aromatic character to the extended aging in new French oak barrels for 16 months. It has a dense red-black colour, and aromas of red fruit, plum, and stone cherry, perfectly alternating with notes of cedar, spices, vanilla, bitter chocolate, and nutmeg. Rich on the palate, with strong tannins, firm structure, and intensely fruity and pleasantly long finish. A wine of extended aging, served at 16-18 °C.
Paired with stews and grilled meats with spicy sauces, pot roast veal, and high-fat cheeses.
