Description
Aged tsipouro from the Tsililis distillery, produced from Thessalian grape marcs of high quality after alcoholic fermentation. Distilled in small discontinuous copper pot stills through a slow, patient process to preserve and bring out the fresh and sweet aromas.
The aging process takes place for at least 5 years in carefully selected French and American oak barrels that previously had red and Vinsanto wines. The result is a spirit with a range of honeyed varietal aromas such as dried plums, raisins, bergamot peel, and spicy aromas such as vanilla, chocolate and nutmeg, combined with a robust but soft body, smooth finish, and a delicate aromatic aftertaste.
