Description
In the volcanic soil of Santorini and in own-rooted vineyards of at least 40 years old, the Assyrtiko variety is cultivated, one of the best multi-potential varieties of the Mediterranean vineyard, known since the ancient times. Medium lemon colour with light greenish hues. Mild aromas in the nose, especially citrus fruit. Excellent structure with rich taste and acidity that highlight and enhance its freshness and long-lasting aftertaste. Characteristic, well-balanced minerality, as result of the variety and the Santorini’s unique terroir.
It can be aged for more than 7 years. Paired with fish and white meat in light white sauce. Served at 10 – 11° C.
