Description
Since the beginning of the last century, the art and secrets of making traditional tsipouro with copper stills travel together with the Krommydas family from the mountainous villages of Mourgana Thesprotia. In 1947 Charalambos Krommydas-or Kalaitzis (ganomatis), as he was called because of his profession – moved to Vasiliki Trikala. There he continued to make the best tsipouro that became known as the tsipouro of Kalaitzis. Today, his grandchildren continue to produce their grandfather’s famous tsipouro of the same name, the same secrets and the same passion, from exceptional grape varieties with intense fruity citrus aromas that give Kalaitzis tsipouro its unique taste with a soft, aromatic finish.
